Run Story

Run Story allows your current story to run another story.

Selecting a story here brings up the Story Picker, allowing you to select a story from any of your strategies to run.

By clicking on the Run Story title, you can set the name of this item.  It’s also possible to select ‘Async’ as an option.

By Default ‘ASync’ is not selected, meaning that the current Story Item will wait for the target story to run completely before continuing its own execution. If Async is selected, then the target story will run in the background, and the current story item will not wait for it to finish executing.

Running Stories asynchronously (in the background) is useful if you are using one story to manage many others.  An example is if you have a master story, that needs to execute trading stories on many other accounts at the same time, without having to wait for them to all process 1 after the other.
